# South African petrochemicals group Sasol has signed a fuel supply agreement with Antarctic expedition company White Desert, supporting flights to the remote continent. Sasol says the deal will provide aviation fuel for White Desert’s specialised polar operations which transport scientists, tourists and support teams to Antarctica. The fuel includes sustainable aviation fuel, produced by co-processing used cooking oil and vegetable oils, reducing its carbon footprint compared with conventional jet fuel. White Desert operates private jet flights from Cape Town to Antarctica.
