# The DA in the Western Cape has congratulated the one-thousand-276 marimba players, who helped break the Guinness World Record for the largest marimba ensemble at the Grand West Arena in Cape Town. The ensemble brought together talented musicians aged between eight and 62. The children represented over 70 schools from South Africa and two from Zimbabwe. The DA’s Thomas Walters says the sound of marimbas ringing out in perfect unison was a resounding symbol of hope and pride:
