# Cycling: New Zealand cyclist Dion Smith was almost knocked off his bike by a runaway goat during the third stage of this year’s Giro d’Italia. Smith said he spotted a small herd of goats next to the road and moved to the side to avoid a collision. But one of the goats darted across the road, right into his path. Smith was pushed onto the grass verge but managed to stay on his bike and rejoin the road shortly after. The goat appeared unharmed and trotted away.
