# South Africa’s top grain producers were honoured for their outstanding yields, innovation, and contribution to national food security, at the Grow for Gold Awards held in Gauteng. Grain SA’s Corné Louw says this year’s awards proved historic, with a surge of new national records across maize, wheat, and soybean categories. He says for wheat, both the Northern and Southern Irrigation categories saw new record yields being set, while six regional maize categories delivered new records. Louw says soybean producers achieved three new records.
