# The South African Rooibos Council has launched the Rooibos in Space project, which will send Rooibos seeds to the International Space Station in October to study how space affects plant growth. The initiative, supported by the South African National Space Agency and MaxIQ Space, will involve learners from seven Cederberg schools in the Western Cape comparing the space-travelled seeds with those grown on Earth. The council’s Dawie de Villiers says the project aims to advance research into sustainable agriculture.
