# Die omstrede sakeman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala bly in aanhouding nadat die Alexandra-Landdroshof in Gauteng hom borgtog geweier het. Matlala word daarvan beskuldig dat hy in 2023 ’n sluipmoordpoging gereël het op sy voormalige vriendin, die aktrise Tebogo Thobejane. Hy, sy vrou en drie ander staan tereg op aanklagte van poging tot moord, korrupsie en geldwassery. Landdros Syta Prinsloo het beslis dat Matlala ‘n vlugrisiko is weens buitelandse bates en ‘n bedrieglike identiteitsdokument. Sy het die saak tot 7 Oktober uitgestel:
