# Fruit distributor Tru-Cape expects its biggest-ever cherry harvest in the Western Cape town of Ceres, following near-perfect growing conditions. Procurement director Calla du Toit says an ideal mix of rainfall and sunshine has boosted fruit size and sweetness. Du Toit says the 2025 harvest began up to ten days early, extending the sales window before Christmas. He emphasised that Tru-Cape plans to export cherries to Europe, the UK, and potentially China.
