# Suiso, a sustainable blue-ammonia production facility in Kriel, Mpumalanga, is partnering with the Council for Geoscience, to determine whether South Africa’s geological formations can safely store carbon emissions. This project will also help in mitigating industrial pollution while unlocking new economic opportunities in green hydrogen production and resource extraction. Suiso founder, Paul Erskine, says this joint venture lays the groundwork for a scalable solution to the country’s emissions challenge while keeping the industry operational and productive.
