# A group of dedicated hikers, including Paralympian Mpumelelo Mhlongo, recently completed a 500-kilometre trek through the Cape mountains to raise 50-thousand-rand for STEPS, a charity supporting children born with clubfoot. Their efforts will fund treatment for 20 children, helping them to walk confidently. Mhlongo, a chemical engineering PhD candidate and athlete, joined the cause to champion disability inclusivity. His participation highlighted the importance of equal opportunities for children with physical challenges.
