# Road running: A record-breaking 15-thousand participants are expected to take part in this year’s 19th edition of the Totalsports Women’s Race in Cape Town on Saturday. This is a 20-percent jump from the 2024 event, when 12-thousand runners signed up for the race. Mayoral committee member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, says the participants will be running in solidarity with PinkDrive, a breast cancer awareness organisation dedicated to improving education, early detection, and access to vital services:
