Ramaphosa to honour struggle veteran Cholo with the ANC’s highest award

# The ANC president, Cyril Ramaphosa, will formally bestow the movement’s highest honour, the Isithwalandwe/Seaparankoe Award, on centenarian struggle veteran doctor Tlou Theophilus Cholo. This is in recognition of his lifelong service to the liberation of South Africa. The ANC says Cholo, who dedicated his life to fighting apartheid and championing workers’ rights, spent 16 years incarcerated at Robben Island prison for his role in the attainment of freedom. Cholo will receive the award at an event at Kopanong Hall, Soshanguve, Gauteng, on Sunday.
