# For his 49th birthday Grammy Award-winning South African DJ Black Coffee hosted an exclusive live auction, to raise money for his newest initiative, the Black Coffee Music Academy. The auction featured one-of-a-kind pieces including a limited-edition Rolex and a signature Nelson Makamo artwork. In total 3.1-million-rand was raised for the academy. DJ Black Coffee says the academy will provide tertiary-level music education, covering music production, the business of music, and much more:
