Mpumalanga farmers concerned about slow FMD vaccinations

# Farmers in Mpumalanga have raised concerns over delays in the rollout of Foot and Mouth disease vaccines, warning the current pace is too slow. The Red Meat Producers Organisation says only 33-thousand-500 cattle have been vaccinated from 61-thousand doses received. The Gert Sibande District remains the hardest hit by the outbreak. Provincial manager Hennie Laas has urged the Agriculture Department to involve private veterinarians in the next vaccination round, saying more vaccines and better coordination are urgently needed.
