# The late, renowned South African playwright, doctor Mbongeni Ngema’s play The Zulu opens at the Joburg Theatre tonight. The production led by actors Abdul Khoza and Nhlakanipho Manqele delves deep into the history of the Zulu nation. Rooted in cultural heritage and historical events, the play captures the identity, strength, and enduring resistance of the Zulu people. It is directed by Sibusiso Mamba. The play is part of the inaugural Mbongeni Ngema Festival, which runs until the 22nd of June.
