# Travel publisher Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel has selected 25 must-visit destinations in 2026. Among the top destinations is São Paulo’s Liberdade district, dubbed “Little Japan,” where anime-inspired street art and world-class ramen highlight Brazil’s deep Japanese heritage. Mexico City also earned high praise for its walkability, rich history, and artistic neighbourhoods such as Coyoacán and La Roma. In Africa, Botswana and Tunisia made the list. Lonely Planet’s executive editor, Nitya Chambers, says this year’s selections are designed to inspire meaningful, mindful travel.
