# Gauteng, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal has the most dissatisfied South African consumers, accounting for 78-percent of all complaints lodged with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud. The Ombud received 15-thousand-355 complaints between 1 March 2025 and 28 February 2026, a 25.8-percent increase from the 12-thousand-207 complaints recorded in the previous financial year. According to the report, the biggest complaints received were on defective goods, cancellations and delivery problems. CGSO CEO Queen Munyai says supplier cooperation remains one of the biggest barriers to resolving disputes.
