Former Auditor-General Terence Nombembe receives honorary doctorate from UP [SOUND]

# The University of Pretoria has conferred an honorary Doctorate of Commerce on former Auditor-General of South Africa Terence Nombembe. This is for his contributions to accounting and the auditing profession. He served as Auditor-General from 2006 to 2013, and was the first black South African to hold this position in the organisation’s century-long history. Nombembe says he is humbled to receive this honour, and he encouraged young chartered accountants to have integrity:
