# The City of Tshwane today launched Arbor month in Hammanskraal, with Santam donating 250-thousand-rand worth of trees to support the city’s urban greening programme. The initiative aims to plant 300-thousand trees over three-years in townships and informal settlements. The city’s Zintle Mahlati called on residents and organisations to join efforts in planting trees and creating food gardens to build a climate-resilient city:
