City advances plans to open Johannesburg International Transport Interchange [SOUND]

# The City of Johannesburg says the Johannesburg International Transport Interchange is expected to start operating before the end of 2026. City spokesperson Virgil James says the tender for a managing service provider was concluded, and a 60-day public participation process is required under the Municipal Finance Management Act. He says the facility will have 169 trading stalls and is expected to create jobs and boost regional transport and economic activity:
