CapeNature expands conservation estate by 13,000 hectares

# CapeNature’s 2025 State of Conservation Report shows major strides in biodiversity protection across the Western Cape. Over 13-thousand hectares were added to the province’s conservation estate, bringing the total to more than one-million hectares. The report highlights the impact of climate change, the need for resilience, and the vital role of partnerships with landowners and researchers.
