# Apple Music has launched The Sounds Of Africa, a new initiative highlighting the musical influence of five African cities: Accra, Dar es Salaam, Lagos, Nairobi and Johannesburg. The campaign features curated playlists and DJ mixes by local artists. Johannesburg’s playlist includes voices like Kwesta, Nandi Madida and Samthing Soweto, celebrating the metro’s legacy from Kwaito to Amapiano. Apple Music says Africa’s influence on the global music industry has never been more powerful as it is today.
