# The African Mayors Assembly and Urban20 Sherpa meeting kicks off this week at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Tshwane. This comes ahead of the Johannesburg Mayors Summit from 12 to 14 September 2025. Addressing the media alongside Tshwane mayor Nasipi Moya, Johannesburg mayor Dada Morero, is hopeful US mayors will attend tothe meeting’s priorities. He emphasised strong international relations, with the US, Russia, and India, as key to South Africa’s economic growth:
