The local developer says with the Iranian war and everything else happening around US president Donald Trump, the brand has become increasingly unpopular and toxic. The 91-story luxury seaside property along the Gold Coast was billed as Australia’s tallest tower, featuring a 285-room luxury hotel, high-end retail plaza, restaurants and residential apartments finished to Trump specifications. The developer says the tower will proceed, but without the Trump name.
