# President Cyril Ramaphosa has embarked on a working visit to Spain to reaffirm the strong diplomatic relations between the two countries and explore opportunities to strengthen people-to-people ties. He is expected to hold an audience with King Felipe the Sixth and engage in bilateral talks with Spain’s president, Pedro Sánchez. Bilateral trade between the two countries grew by 9.7-percent from 2022 to 2023, with more than 150 Spanish companies having invested in South Africa, creating over 20-thousand jobs across various sectors.
