FAK honours Leon Schuster for his lifetime contribution to Afrikaans music, films and radio

# Three decades after “Hie’ kommie Bokke!” resounded during the Springboks’ historic Rugby World Cup victory over the All Blacks at Ellis Park in 1995, the Federation of Afrikaans Cultural Associations presented Leon Schuster with an honorary award for his lifetime contribution to Afrikaans music, films and radio. Schuster is currently experiencing health challenges, therefore the FAK visited him at his home in Johannesburg and presented the award to him in person. The FAK expressed its appreciation of Schuster’s continued work to promote the Afrikaans language and culture in an accessible and joyful manner.
