Eskom is committed to reducing its environmental footprint while also ensuring energy security [SOUND]

# Eskom says it is intensifying its focus on environmental performance and long-term sustainability. To date, the power utility has invested over three-billion-rand in emissions reduction projects, with 15.6-billion-rand allocated over the next five years. Eskom’s spokesperson, Daphne Mokwena, says they have made notable progress in reducing Nitrogen Oxide emissions across their fleet. She adds that the utility’s sustainability strategy also includes responsible water use, biodiversity and land protection, and grid upgrades to support renewable energy integration:
