Water and Sanitation increases outflows at the Bloemhof Dam [SOUND]

# The Department of Water and Sanitation says it has increased outflows at the Bloemhof Dam by 100-cubic-meters-per-second to over 350-cubic-meters-per-second to allow for the extra water that is expected from the Vaal Dam. Water levels at the dam are currently at 98.69-percent and the aim is to keep it at below 100-percent. The department’s spokesperson, Wisane Mavasa says the single sluice gate opened on Thursday at the Vaal Dam to ease water levels remains open:
