# The winners of the South African Student Design Competition have been announced. The competition, organised by the Tshwane University of Technology, paid tribute to Italian architect Matteo Cibic. Students were tasked to study Cibic’s work and design an exhibition space celebrating South African craftsmanship. University of the Free State students, Gustav Pretorius and Jeanré Erasmus, won the 20-thousand-rand cash prize for their work titled Moving through the Making, inspired by The Dancer, one of the well-known works by South African ceramic artist Andile Dyalvane.
