# Pop star Charli XCX has been named songwriter of the year and will receive the honorary prize at the Brit Awards at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday. The award has previously been won by British acts Ed Sheeran, Kid Harpoon, and most recently, Raye last year. The 32-year-old is also up for five awards including album of the year, for her seventh album, Brat, and British artist of the year. Earlier this month, Charli won three Grammy Awards including best dance album.
