# A University of Cape Town researcher, Muya Koloko, has received national recognition for his work in developing goalball in South Africa. He was awarded the Kwenejejani trophy for National Sport Code Convenor of the Year by the South African Sports Association for the physically disabled and visually impaired. Koloko has played a key role in growing the sport over the past five years and helping develop athletes with disabilities. His efforts have helped improve junior teams and strengthen goalball from grassroots to national level.
