# Public Works and Infrastructure deputy minister Sihle Zikalala has urged communities to protect infrastructure and pay for services. This as government continues to partner with the private sector to drive infrastructure development. Speaking on the sidelines of the Sustainable Infrastructure Development Symposium in Cape Town, Zikalala told the SABC that shared services under the District Development Model will help smaller municipalities access technical skills:
