World Bank forecasts Sub-Saharan Africa growth amid risks

# The World Bank projects Sub-Saharan Africa’s growth to rise from 3.3-percent in 2024 to 4.3-percent by 2027, despite downside risks. Excluding South Africa, Nigeria, and Angola, growth could reach 5.7-percent. South Africa’s GDP growth is expected to average 1.8-percent from 2025 to 2027. The Bank urges diversification and greater use of the African Continental Free Trade Area to drive inclusive growth and job creation.
