# The Western Cape Blood Service has launched its first-ever charity initiative, The Extra Drop, aimed at enhancing blood donation efforts and extending donors’ goodwill, directly benefiting local charities in the province. Every two months, a new charity benefits, starting with The League of Friends of the Blind, an organisation committed to empowering individuals with visual impairments. After donating blood, donors receive a token of appreciation, which they can either keep or donate 15-rand to charity.
