# Relatives are desperately searching for loved ones after a hotel holding more than 100 Venezuelans deported by the US on Wednesday, collapsed during deadly earthquakes that same evening. They were taken to the hotel in a coastal city north of the capital of Caracas, La Guaira. Some of the deportees survived the collapse, but many remain trapped in the rubble while hope is dwindling, days after the initial disaster. At least one-thousand-700 people were killed in the quakes, with many more still missing.
