# In his latest application in the Johannesburg High Court, convicted murderer and rapist, Thabo Bester, is seeking to compel the Department of Justice and Correctional Services to relax his prison conditions. Bester argues that his current solitary confinement at the Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Centre is unconstitutional and violates his right to a fair trial. He wants his prison conditions to be relaxed in order to have contact visits from family members and his lawyers. Bester is set to return to court on December 5th together with his co-accused.
