# The iconic Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company has officially reopened its doors to the public. This follows the completion of its annual maintenance. Executive director Selma Hercules says the annual shutdown allows them to carry out essential upgrades and make sure the Cableway runs at the highest possible standards. She adds that the maintenance is aimed at ensuring optimal safety and operational efficiency. Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company recently won a silver medal in the Managing Waste category at the 2025 WTM Africa Responsible Tourism Awards.
