# Stellenbosch University has been recognised by the 2025 Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings by Subject. A total of one-thousand-747 institutions were ranked across 55 narrow subjects in five broad subject areas. These are Life Sciences and Medicine, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, Natural Sciences, and Engineering and Technology. Stellenbosch University was ranked in 21 of these subjects, excelling in Life Sciences and Medicine. The university’s professor, Sibusiso Moyo, says the rankings reaffirm the quality of the institution’s academic programmes.
