South Korea opens world’s first museum entirely dedicated to history and art of sound reproduction

# The Audeum Audio Museum has opened in Seoul, South Korea, as the world’s first institution dedicated to sound reproduction. The seven-storey building, designed by architect Kengo Kuma, features a striking aluminum pipe exterior and acoustically optimized wood interiors. The entire space acts as a giant resonance box. Visitors can experience 150 years of audio history, including century-old Edison phonographs and massive Western Electric cinema speakers. A spokesperson says the goal is to let visitors truly experience the evolution of sound and not just see it.
