South Africa assumes presidency of Federation of African Engineering Organisations

# South Africa, represented by the Engineering Council of South Africa has officially taken over the presidency of the Federation of African Engineering Organisations for 2025 and 2026. The federation represents over 500-thousand professionals. The inauguration, held in Gaborone, Botswana, was attended by African engineering leaders and government officials. The council’s president Refilwe Buthelezi will lead the federation, marking a milestone for South Africa’s engineering sector. She aims to drive sustainable development and increase gender diversity in engineering across Africa.
