Soccer: Cash-strapped SAFA will cover Jordaan and Hluyo’s legal costs

# Soccer: Governing body SAFA’s National Executive Committee has resolved to cover legal costs incurred by president Danny Jordaan and chief financial official Gronie Hluyo. The pair were arrested in 2024 alongside Grit Communications director Trevor Neethling, following a Hawks investigation into the alleged misuse of 1.3-million-rand in SAFA funds. After an NEC meeting in Johannesburg, SAFA said it never lodged a complaint in the case. The association plans to intervene in the proceedings and pursue legal action over alleged reputational damage.
