# President Cyril Ramaphosa says BRICS countries must strengthen economic cooperation and move beyond simply trading raw commodities. Speaking at the BRICS business forum leaders’ dialogue in New Delhi, in India, Ramaphosa called for more investment in manufacturing and local production, mineral beneficiation, energy, infrastructure and logistics. He said Africa should not continue exporting minerals while other countries benefit from processing and manufacturing:
