# President Cyril Ramaphosa says the South African Police Service is operating under unprecedented public scrutiny, given the revelations emerging from the Madlanga Commission. He gave the keynote address at the SAPS Commemoration Day at the Union Buildings in Pretoria yesterday. Twelve officers were killed in the line of duty between April last year and March this year.
