Ramaphosa says SAPS needs to be trusted, competent, disciplined and ethical [SOUND]

# President Cyril Ramaphosa says the South African Police Service is operating under unprecedented public scrutiny, given the revelations emerging from the Madlanga Commission. He gave the keynote address at the SAPS Commemoration Day at the Union Buildings in Pretoria yesterday. Twelve officers were killed in the line of duty between April last year and March this year. Ramaphosa stated that the revelations from the Madlanga Commission have raised legitimate questions about policing, leadership, accountability and institutional integrity:
