Public Servants Association demands urgent relocation of Joburg deeds office

# The Public Service Association has called for urgent relocation of the Johannesburg Deeds Office following stalled services amid staff protest. The staff members complained about unsafe conditions at Marble Towers. The association’s Sibusiso Ndzala criticised the handling of the crisis after workers halted lodgments for eight days, leading to over five-thousand property transfers delayed. Ndzala claims that a budget exceeding 500-thousand-rand for renovations to the same building had been allocated. A new deeds office is expected in September.
