Power grid limits threaten global renewable energy growth

# The International Renewable Energy Agency says global renewable energy expansion is expected to lose momentum this year, ending five consecutive years of growth. The Agency says inadequate electricity networks and trade barriers are limiting new installations. Director-general Francesco La Camera says countries are struggling to transmit all the electricity generated from renewable sources. He says stronger transmission infrastructure is needed to support further renewable energy expansion as China has been forced to turn away available clean power because of grid constraints.
