# Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Co-operation says it will invite DIRCO to explain the circumstances surrounding the third demarche against US Ambassador Leo Brent Bozell in nine months. Committee chairperson Mosa Chabane says South Africa’s sovereignty must be respected. The committee notes that diplomats are required to respect the laws of their host country. Chabane says respect for sovereignty and the judiciary must always be maintained. He further calls on all foreign missions accredited to South Africa to uphold the highest standards of diplomatic decorum.
