NUMSA members prepare for industrial action at BAIC

# Workers at Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation South Africa’s vehicle manufacturing plants in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape are expected to embark on strike action amid a dispute over wages and working conditions. NUMSA says workers want the company to implement the Automotive Sector Bargaining Agreement, which regulates pay, benefits, and employment conditions. The union says employees should receive the same protections and standards. NUMSA says attempts to resolve the dispute through the CCMA failed, paving the way for industrial action.
