# The National Gambling Board urges citizens to safeguard their household finances and exercise caution when participating in gambling activities. According to Old Mutual’s latest Savings and Investment Monitor, 53-percent of working South Africans gamble, while 42-percent say they often gamble to help cover their expenses or debt.
