# The Mpumalanga provincial government says women occupy 46-percent of key strategic positions in the administration. Premier Mandla Ndlovu made the announcement at the Provincial Women’s Parliament in Arcornhoek, Bushbuckridge, where women raised concerns about representation and access to government tenders. Ndlovu says the government is targeting 40-percent support for women-owned businesses, with a long-term goal of 50-percent. He acknowledged the province currently stands at 36-percent for procurement support. Meanwhile, women delegates urged the government to implement commitments and address barriers to economic opportunities.
