Mozambican woman sentenced to 23 years for stepdaughter’s murder [SOUND]

# The High Court in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, has sentenced Mozambican Clara Masinga, to 23-years imprisonment for the premeditated murder of her eleven-year-old stepdaughter, Jennifer Gumbi. Masinga poisoned the child’s ice cream in 2015 to spite Jennifer’s mother. The court noted the brutality of the crime and condemned domestic violence. The National Prosecuting Authority’s spokesperson, Monica Nyuswa applauded the sentence:
