# The Department of Health has confirmed that minister of Health, Aaron Motsoaledi, has undergone a successful eye operation at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital’s St John Eye Clinic in Johannesburg. An eye problem has plagued the minister for some time, which has required an operation. The department’s spokesperson, Foster Mohale, says the clinic is a government facility that provides treatment for various eye conditions, including retinal issues, glaucoma and corneal problems:
